About Collectie Centraal
Collectie Centraal shows how artists and designers from different eras view the world. You’ll encounter familiar favourites, such as Gerrit Rietveld’s Red and Blue Chair, as well as works you may not know yet. It is precisely this mix that brings the collection to life: old and new, painting and fashion, personal stories and major social issues all sit side by side.
A Fresh Perspective in Every Room
The presentation is organized thematically. This means you not only journey through history, but also make your own connections between artworks, objects and ideas. Fashion shines alongside paintings, design sits next to urban history, and art from the past is joined by contemporary makers. What catches your eye? What do you recognize? And what do you suddenly see in a different light?
